Frozen Yogurt Mania Hits Australia

Straight from the Hollywood Hills comes the latest “it” snack that will likely see juice bars and coffee chains quiver in their takeaway cups.

Yogen Früz opens their flagship frozen yogurt store in Brisbane, Australia.

The launch gives locals their taste of the “guilt-free fro-yo pleasure” that has swept the globe since the founding fathers started dishing out dollops of this low calorie fast food alternative in the heady, health-conscious days of the 1980s.

“Given Australia’s beach culture and active outdoor lifestyle, we feel it is the perfect market,” says Yogen Früz’s Australian director, Jenelle Moloney.

Since the grand opening celebrations, confirmed fro yo addicts have joined the curious for regular treats of the latest phenomenon down under.

  1. Hehe, I’ve recently walked past it, and a friend said it’s very nice. Thanks for opening it in Brisbane, most people would have started in Melbourne or Sydney!
