What is that tennis term again, 15-love? Well take away the 15 and you got a word that best describes our feelings towards Blake Strode! The sensational tennis star also happens to be a huge fan of Yogen Fruz. Maybe it’s because we provide delicious and nutritious frozen deserts, a flavourful addition to healthy and active living!
Oh, and that tall, handsome fella to the right? That’s John Isner! He holds the record for the longest match in recorded history – 11 hours in length! Talk about endurance! Check out the picture below!
P.s. We want a YF patch too (better get workin’ on that forehand)!

Yogen Früz recently jumped at the unique opportunity to support the Markham Stouffville Hospital Foundation (MSHF) as they prepared to ascend to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Africa.
On July 11th, 2011, armed with flag in hand, we took this once-in-a-lifetime climb as our chance to scout for our very first Yogen Früz location in Africa. Drawing perplexed looks from our fellow team members and guides, details of the new store were worked out along the three-day journey to the summit. Customers will be encouraged to pick their own fruits and toppings from the native and unique vegetation that grows in abundance on Mount Kilimanjaro’s slopes. Since there are no roads, complimentary quadrupedal transportation (ü-mule for short) will be made available free of charge. Unfortunately, because this new location is many, many, miles from the nearest bank, we except exact change only. No debit, credit or bartering. Sorry!
Hope to see ü on top!
All fun aside, the proceeds of the MSHF’s Climb to Conquer goes towards helping adolescents and children struggling with mental illness by raising money for the Mental Health Program and increasing public awareness. We are proud to help the Markham Stouffville Hospital Foundation grow their new wing for the stigma of mental health by providing our youth with the understanding, care and treatment they need to live normal, healthy lives.

The mango, also known as The King of Fruit, is native to southern Asia and have been cultivated in the Indian subcontinent for thousands of years. Since then, they’ve been cultivated in East Asia, East Africa, Brazil, West Indies, Mexico, and later introduced to USA in 1880.
The leading mango cultivator is India but very little is exported as most are consumed within the country. The top mango exporters are Mexico, Brazil, South Africa, Haiti, Guatemala and Venezuela. Mangoes account for approximately half of all tropical fruits produced worldwide with more than 33,000,000 tonnes in 2007.
Mangoes are very low in Saturated Fat, Cholesterol and Sodium. It’s also a good source of Dietary Fiber and Vitamin B6, and a very good source of Vitamin A and Vitamin C.
Have you tried a mango lately? There’s lots to go around! Mix mango in your Mix It froyo, put fresh mango on your Top It froyo or blend it in your Smoothie.

There’s maraschino, black, bing, and rainier to name a few but did you know there’s over 1000 types of cherries? However, they all generally fall into two categories, sweet or sour, which are available at your grocery store. The most popular type of sweet cherry is the Bing cherry which is sold fresh. Sour cherries are canned and used in pies, dried into fruit snacks and made into juice concentrate. Since cherries bruises easily, you need to handle them with care. When buying cherries, look for a bright color and supple exterior. The ones that are plump and firm will taste the best. If you are looking for good quality cherries, try to get the ones with their green stems attached.
Like most other fruits, cherries are fat-free, low in calories and sodium and high in potassium, Vitamin C and dietary fiber.
Have you tried dark sweet cherries in your Mix It froyo? Cherry-chocolate is the most popular choice. Try it today to take advantage of its nutritional benefits.
