Visit Yogen Früz For Some Royal Treatment With Mango

The mango, also known as The King of Fruit, is native to southern Asia and have been cultivated in the Indian subcontinent for thousands of years. Since then, they’ve been cultivated in East Asia, East Africa, Brazil, West Indies, Mexico, and later introduced to USA in 1880.

The leading mango cultivator is India but very little is exported as most are consumed within the country. The top mango exporters are Mexico, Brazil, South Africa, Haiti, Guatemala and Venezuela. Mangoes account for approximately half of all tropical fruits produced worldwide with more than 33,000,000 tonnes in 2007.

Mangoes are very low in Saturated Fat, Cholesterol and Sodium. It’s also a good source of Dietary Fiber and Vitamin B6, and a very good source of Vitamin A and Vitamin C.

Have you tried a mango lately? There’s lots to go around! Mix mango in your Mix It froyo, put fresh mango on your Top It froyo or blend it in your Smoothie.

Spring has Sprung with Fresh Strawberries

Spring has sprung and the fruit and vegetable growing season has begun. Did you know the first plant to fully ripen in Spring is the strawberry plant? Here are more fun facts about strawberries:

• The most common strawberries grown commercially are Garden strawberries.
• By weight, strawberries contain more vitamin C than oranges.
• Strawberries are the only fruit with seeds on the outside.
• Strawberry plants are not classified as fruit plants, they are a member of the rose family, however the strawberry
   is commonly known as a fruit.
• Since strawberry plants are in the flower family, instead of giving your loved one a dozen roses, give them a dozen
   strawberries!

Strawberries are the most popular fruit to have in your Mix It and Top It froyos or in your strawberry banana Smoothie. Strawberries are very low in Saturated Fat, Cholesterol and Sodium. They’re also a very good source of Dietary Fiber and Manganese. So go ahead, add some to your froyo!

Need Vitamin C - Have a Mandarin Orange

The mandarin orange is a small citrus tree with fruit resembling other oranges. The tree is more drought-tolerant than the fruit, which is tender, and is damaged easily by cold. It can be grown in tropical and subtropical areas. Top producers of the fruit include China, Spain, Brazil, and Japan.

This fruit is very low in Saturated Fat, Cholesterol and Sodium. It’s also a good source of Dietary Fiber, and a very good source of Vitamin A and Vitamin C.

You can blend mandarin oranges into your Mix It froyo to take advantage of its nutritional benefits.
