IQF fruits are picked at their peak with the highest in nutritional value, then it is quickly frozen to preserve the fruit in this form. In most cases, frozen fruits have higher nutritional value compared to the fresh fruits found in grocery stores. Fresh fruits are often harvested before they have reached their peak and artificially ripened during transport to the stores. Once fruits are picked they begin to lose nutritional value, so by the time you eat it most of its nutrients and benefits are lost.
